About The Position
At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we’re seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. You’ll provide personalized, in-clinic therapy through evaluations and individualized treatment plans designed to meet each child’s unique needs. With 80% of our clients receiving multiple services, this is a truly collaborative, interdisciplinary setting—complete with opportunities for co-treats alongside Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, BCBAs, and Mental Health providers. Requirements
- Eager to grow your skills in high-demand clinical areas such as AAC, feeding, and childhood apraxia of speech.
- Do your best work surrounded by a supportive and diverse team of child specialists.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Illinois state license in good standing
- Prior experience conducting assessments to identify the strengths and needs of each client.
- Unflappable patience and compassion.
- Committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders
- Make appropriate cross-referrals to other disciplines
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to improve speech, language, social, and feeding skills
- Educate families, staff, and the community on AAC and other communication supports
- Collaborate with doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists for coordinated care
- Keep detailed records of progress and adjust plans as needed
