About The Position
This is a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Speech-Language Pathologist position at a skilled nursing facility in New York’s Finger Lakes region. The role is part of an interdisciplinary care team and focuses on supporting seniors with communication, cognition, and swallowing challenges. The clinician works one-on-one with residents to improve their communication and quality of life. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MA or MS).
- Active New York State SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Strong communication skills and professional maturity.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing needs.
- Deliver therapy sessions to support progress in communication and cognitive function.
- Coordinate audiometric screenings and referrals.
- Collaborate with care teams and families to maximize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and Medicare documentation.
- Attend care-planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Provide in-service education for staff and contribute to program improvement.
- Uphold safety standards and provide care with dignity and respect.
