About The Position

This position is full time, 40 hours per week. Based in Michigan, PrepNet Virtual Academy opened in 2020 and serves students K-12 online. At PrepNet Virtual, you can connect passion with purpose. NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child as a result of their disability, and the SLP plays a critical role in supporting student access to instruction and overall academic success.

Requirements

• Must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communicative Sciences and Disorders
• Limited Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs LARA); or Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
• Experience working with at-risk student populations
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the administrator over special education to develop and coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions.
• Conducting speech and language evaluations and contributing to assessment planning as part of the special education process.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Providing specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models.
• Documenting service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Consulting with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Other duties as assigned.
