Speech Language Pathologist (SLP/CFY)
About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. We welcome experienced clinicians as well as Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates looking to begin their careers in a supportive skilled nursing environment with experienced mentorship. This is a full-time position with opportunities available in Autumn Lake at Oak Manor in Burtonsville, MD. The role involves evaluating residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders, and developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. The position emphasizes evidence-based therapy, collaboration with healthcare professionals and families, and accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Active Maryland SLP license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience is welcomed but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident goals
- Provide evidence-based therapy focused on communication, cognition, and dysphagia management
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy staff, physicians, and families to coordinate resident care
- Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
