About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Wolfson's Rehab team. The position is described as a full-time, day-shift opportunity at the main campus in downtown Jacksonville, working in an adult acute care setting. The role participates in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations. The ideal candidate has experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies in acute care.

Requirements

• Master of Science or Master of Arts degree.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of experience working in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with all diagnoses.
• Provide extensive patient and family education.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team care with rehabilitation professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory staff, and other support staff.
• Work in a fast-paced setting, using effective time management, detailed EMR documentation, self-direction, and communication skills.
• Participate in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations.
