About The Position

Avante at Inverness Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct speech-language pathology services to residents. Services include assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. The role functions under physicians’ orders. The position requires assessing residents with communication and swallowing disorders, interpreting and communicating assessment results, designing and executing treatment plans, and documenting daily care according to established guidelines. Background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required.

Requirements

Ability to assess residents with communication and swallowing disorders.
Ability to interpret and communicate assessment results.
Ability to design and execute appropriate treatment plans.
Ability to document daily care according to established guidelines.
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
0–3 years of long-term care experience.
Successful completion of required AHCA Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse screening.
