About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a 170-bed skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the community. This position requires a compassionate professional with experience in working with geriatric and adult populations, specifically in the areas of dysphagia and cognitive impairment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience working with geriatric and adult populations, specifically in dysphagia and cognitive impairments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of patients and the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care clients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding communication and swallowing challenges.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary.
• Participate in in-service training and professional development activities.
