About The Position

This position supports a brand-new Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (IRH) in Ozark, Missouri, a partnership between CoxHealth and Select Medical. The 63-bed medical rehabilitation hospital serves patients in Southwest Missouri with a commitment to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role offers an extensive orientation program, opportunities for advancement, and benefits that support financial, work/life, and emotional well-being. Part-time/Per Diem positions are eligible for 401k based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year, and an employee assistance program is available to part-time employees.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Nice To Haves

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
