Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
About The Position
AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is opening a 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital in Galloway, New Jersey. This hospital will serve patients in southeastern New Jersey and is led by a physiatrist. The team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas, addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required
Nice To Haves
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
- Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
- Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
- Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
- Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
