School Speech Language Pathologist
About The Position
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school-based team serving K-5th grade students in Wilmington, Delaware for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with children, collaborating with educators, and providing meaningful therapy services in a school environment. The SLP will work with a diverse caseload of approximately 40-50 students presenting with a range of communication needs, including articulation and speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, fluency disorders, and other common pediatric communication disorders. Responsibilities will include providing individual and/or small-group speech therapy, developing and implementing IEP goals, completing required documentation, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, families, and other members of the educational team. Agency SLPs are treated as an integral part of the school team and are fully integrated into the school community. SLPs also have the opportunity to share their preferences for future placements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Delaware SLP License required
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping students reach their communication and academic goals
Nice To Haves
- ASHA certification/CCC-SLP preferred
- Experience working with children is preferred
