PRN Speech-Language Pathologist - Acute Care
About The Position
PT Solutions is hiring a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to provide acute care at Adventist Health St. Helena in Saint Helena, California. PT Solutions partners with Adventist Health St. Helena to provide rehabilitation services to patients with a broad range of medical diagnoses. The hospital is a 127-bed inpatient acute care facility with Advanced Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement and Advanced Primary Stroke Center certifications from The Joint Commission. The clinician will work with an interdisciplinary hospital team to evaluate, treat, and reassess patients throughout the hospital. The role focuses on evidence-based, high-quality care that helps patients return home or transition to their next level of care. PRN scheduling requires two weekend day shifts per month, one major holiday, and one minor holiday.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAA-approved Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based, quality care to facilitate each patient's return home or transition to the next level of care.
- Establish timely treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Build positive connections with patients, their families, fellow clinicians, and other hospital team members.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital, including with physicians, case management, and nurses.
- Evaluate, treat, and reassess patients in all areas of the hospital.
