SLP Speech Language Pathologist Full Time
About The Position
Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, California, is a 50-bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32-bed skilled nursing facility providing long-term acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Patients may require critical care for medically complex conditions, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The hospital describes its work environment as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Speech Language Pathologist provides and directs speech-language pathology services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. The role functions under physician orders.
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state of employment.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), or be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year.
- Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
