About The Position

Theracare is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN position. This role involves evaluating and treating patients in various settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, and Home Health Care. The SLP will work as part of a dedicated therapy team, providing support and information within the field of Speech/Language Pathology. The position is located in a busy Skilled Nursing Community with a high volume of rehabilitation to home cases, offering easy access to regional management for support and a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Current state license/certification
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to provide therapy services in various locations (Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, Home Health Care)
• Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician's orders.
• Utilize therapeutic procedures to improve speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders.
• Help patients overcome disabilities from a variety of causes.
• Work as a member of a team, providing support and information within the area of Speech/Language Pathology.
• Provide therapy services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care.
