About The Position

Evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the Practice Act for the State of Georgia. Applies a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech-language, oral motor, and hearing disorders. Performs specialized evaluations for dysphagia. Complies with hospital policies and supports the mission and values of the hospital.

Requirements

  • Must be duly licensed by the Georgia State Board.
  • Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
  • BLS required.
  • Must hold a Master’s degree from an American Speech-Language Hearing Association accredited program.
  • Licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board.
  • Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Speech Therapy practices, procedures, and clinical skills.
  • Knowledgeable of required documentation and billing that satisfies the Georgia State practice act, JCAHO requirements, and meets the requirements of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurers.

  • Broad experience in a variety of different clinical settings through their ASHA accredited clinical internship programs.
