About The Position

Autumn Lake at Riverview, with Ultimate Therapy, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for a skilled nursing setting in Essex, Maryland. The SLP provides individualized rehabilitation to help residents strengthen communication, use cognitive strategies in daily routines, and address swallowing needs. The position pays $43–$46 per hour and offers benefits.

Requirements

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Clinical knowledge of adult communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop treatment plans that connect assessment findings with residents’ functional goals.
• Provide therapy addressing expression, comprehension, attention, memory, and everyday problem-solving.
• Treat swallowing disorders and share appropriate recommendations with nursing and dietary colleagues.
• Train residents and caregivers in practical techniques they can use outside treatment sessions.
• Track progress, maintain and update clinical documentation, and collaborate on care planning and discharge needs.
