Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
• Experience supporting students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
• Knowledge of IEP development, special education regulations, and documentation requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional growth.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals.
• Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy.
• Support speech, language, social communication, voice, fluency, and functional communication development.
• Implement and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and communication strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate communication goals across educational environments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, assessments, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning.
• Provide consultation and training to staff regarding communication strategies and student supports.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Support a collaborative, positive school environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
