Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Home Health - Full Time
About The Position
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy to individuals in their homes under the care of an attending physician. Home settings may include single-family or multi-family homes, assisted living, independent living, and memory care facilities. The SLP evaluates and treats patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and needs for alternative or augmentative communication. Patients may include people who have experienced a stroke or who have progressive diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of employment.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must possess automobile liability insurance.
- Must wear seat belts at all times while driving.
- Must have dependable transportation kept in good working condition.
- Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and provide skilled speech-language therapy in a home setting under the care of an attending physician.
- Evaluate and treat language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, and voice disorders.
- Evaluate and treat patients requiring alternative or augmentative communication.
- Provide care to patients who may have experienced a stroke or have progressive diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
