About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a forward-thinking Speech-Language Pathologist to help students find their voices and overcome communication barriers in Cary, NC, during the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves conducting assessments, interpreting results to differentiate language disorders from dialectal differences, and communicating findings to families and educational teams. The position requires designing and delivering high-quality therapy in individual and group sessions using creative resources to drive measurable student progress. Additionally, the role includes managing the end-of-year IEP process while ensuring compliance with IDEA and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) requirements, and state guidelines. Collaboration with educators and parents is essential, along with adaptability regarding scheduling and school assignments.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and an active NPI number
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based setting
  • Ability to pass required background clearances, including fingerprinting for preschool settings

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Two or more years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing systems preferred.
