About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides speech and language therapy services to students with speech and communication disorders. The SLP works with students individually and in small groups to improve their communication skills.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid South Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student success.
  • Track student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals.
  • Provide professional development and support to staff regarding speech and language issues.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
