About The Position
Innovate Rehab and Wellness is seeking a Licensed PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Kansas City, MO. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible, as-needed shifts designed to support work-life balance. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders, addressing speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication needs to help patients improve function and overall quality of life. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program)
- Valid state SLP license
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Missouri
- CPR certification preferred
Nice To Haves
- CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred
- Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome)
- Prior experience in speech therapy (preferred but not required)
- CPR certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques
- Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately
- Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology
