About The Position
Innovate Rehab and Wellness is seeking a Licensed PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Ruston, LA. This PRN (as-needed) role offers flexible, as-needed shifts with a focus on work-life balance. The position involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to improve patient function and quality of life. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program)
- Valid state SLP license
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills
- CPR certification (preferred)
Nice To Haves
- CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred
- Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome)
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques
- Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately
- Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology
