About The Position
Innovate Rehab and Wellness is seeking a Licensed PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Jena, LA. This PRN (as-needed) role offers flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program).
- Valid state SLP license.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.
- CPR certification preferred.
Nice To Haves
- CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
- Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome).
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
- Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
- Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology.
