Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellowship
About The Position
IMPACT Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Clinical Fellowship (CF) year starting in 2026. This program is designed to be more than just a requirement, aiming to be the beginning of a successful and long career. The SLP will join a supportive and collaborative team that provides mentorship and guidance. IMPACT Therapy offers a comprehensive range of services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. Their campus also houses IMPACT Academy, serving K-12 students with special needs, and IMPACT Preschool, an inclusive environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. IMPACT Tallahassee is noted as the only comprehensive pediatric facility in its region. The organization utilizes an interdisciplinary, play-based approach, allowing therapists to work with children in natural environments such as classrooms, therapy clinics, rehabilitation sessions, homes, or schools. BCBAs collaborate with families, teachers, and other therapists to ensure skill generalization across various settings.
Requirements
- Florida Board of Speech Language Pathology License
- ASHA CCCs or CFs
- Level 2 background check and drug testing required.
Responsibilities
- Assessment of children with a variety of speech, language, and feeding needs.
- Provide appropriate intervention for children and modify treatment approaches for best outcomes.
- Provide parent training and home education strategies for clients.
- Document progress in daily progress notes.
- Complete plans of care and discharges as required.
