About The Position

Sheppard Pratt is hiring Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows. Current openings include the Sheppard Pratt School in Gaithersburg. Under the direct supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, the Clinical Fellow plays a crucial role in identifying, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, voice, fluency, hearing, and language disorders in the student population. The Clinical Fellow will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students identified as needing support.

Requirements

Master’s degree in speech pathology from an accredited college or university
Must demonstrate eligibility for limited licensure as a speech-language pathologist fellow by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene at time of appointment
Must maintain licensure continuously throughout tenure in position
Responsible for completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
Responsible for taking all necessary steps to obtain full state licensure promptly upon meeting requirements

Developing and presenting speech-language programs for staff development and training
Staying current with advances in speech pathology and special education techniques, especially in school-based settings
