About The Position

This role involves evaluating and treating patients requiring speech-language therapy in an acute care setting. The Speech Language Pathologist will perform therapy interventions utilizing standard techniques, educate and counsel patients/families on treatment and discharge plans, and maintain clinical records. Participation in performance improvement activities is also expected. There are minimum weekend and holiday requirements, with weekday availability being preferred.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of work experience as SLP.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of acute care experience.
• Weekday availability is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
