About The Position

Ascension Saint Joseph is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for their Acute Care department in Chicago, IL. This PRN position involves evaluating and treating patients requiring speech-language therapy in an acute care setting, performing therapy interventions, educating patients and families, and maintaining clinical records. The role requires weekday availability and has minimum weekend and holiday requirements. CFY is not offered.

Requirements

At least 1 year of work experience as SLP.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

1 year of acute care experience.
Weekday availability is preferred.
Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities
