About The Position

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, provides education services for K–12 students who need additional support to succeed outside traditional school settings. SESI partners with school districts to operate in-district classrooms and standalone schools addressing students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The Intervention Specialist uncovers students’ potential by identifying and addressing learning, social, and emotional skill gaps, collaborating with school teams and families, and delivering personalized guidance using evidence-based instructional models and positive behavioral interventions. The role works in diverse educational settings with smaller class sizes and supportive services.

Requirements

• Current Intervention Specialist license.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with students from varied developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, build confidence and character, and meet students’ needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain safety.
• Maintain student documents, including IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including while moving to and from locations within the school.
