HIRING: SPED Teacher Aides & Substitute Teachers | Pre-K – 12
About The Position
Teachers Now is currently hiring SPED Teacher Aides and SPED Substitute Teachers to support schools throughout the Kansas City area. We have long-term assignments available for candidates looking for consistent work, along with opportunities for individuals interested in picking up shorter assignments when available. These opportunities allow you to support students from Pre-K through High School, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in the classroom. We are looking for caring, dependable, and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special needs.
Requirements
- Reliable, patient, caring, and motivated to support students
- Previous SPED experience is preferred
- Experience in education, childcare, behavioral support, youth programs, or other student-focused environments is encouraged
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
- Assist students with academic and classroom activities
- Support daily classroom routines and transitions
- Encourage positive behavior and student engagement
- Work closely with teachers and school staff
- Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment
- Follow classroom procedures and lesson plans
- Support students throughout the school day
