About The Position

The SpED Paraeducator - Adaptive Support Center (ASC) position is a paraeducator role within the Special Education department at Kent-Meridian High School. The role involves supporting students within the Adaptive Support Center (ASC) and requires candidates to meet specific state qualifications for paraeducators. Upon hire, successful candidates will complete state-required training through the KSD Professional Development Team. Requirements

  • Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
  • A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
  • Willingness to take the ParaPro Assessment if not currently meeting the qualification (opportunity to test prior to formal hiring if selected as a finalist).

Responsibilities

  • Support students within the Adaptive Support Center (ASC).
  • Complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team upon hire.
