About The Position
This position is for a SpED Paraeducator in the Integrated Program (IP) at Mill Creek Middle School. The role involves supporting students within the Kent School District's mission of successfully preparing all students for their futures and vision of producing globally competitive learners ready to excel in college, careers, and life. The paraeducator will work towards achieving these goals through equitable access to high-quality academic, social, and applied learning opportunities, guided by the core values of Equity, Excellence, and Community.
Requirements
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
- Willingness to take the ParaPro Assessment if not currently meeting the qualification (opportunity provided before formal hiring if selected as a finalist).
Responsibilities
- Support students within the Integrated Program (IP) at Mill Creek Middle School.
- Assist in preparing students for their futures, college, careers, and life.
- Provide equitable access to high-quality academic, social, and applied learning opportunities.
- Complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team upon hire.
