About The Position

The SPED EXTENSIVE SUPPORT NEEDS TEACHER position is a full-time, permanent role within the Lichen K-8 School. This position is part of the Instructional Faculty in Special Education, focusing on Moderate/Severe needs for students in grades K-12. The role involves working with students who require extensive support. The school year is 10 months, with 186 days per year, 5 days per week, and a professional workday.

Requirements

  • Must be a fully credentialed staff member.
  • Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4 is the maximum incoming placement.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 - $126,000 annually
  • $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions
  • $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees
  • $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities
  • $1,500 - $6,000 annual stipends for various 'leadership' roles
