About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner to join its team in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role prepares laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, including identifying and labeling samples, routing them to staging areas, and packing and shipping them to the appropriate testing facilities. The position also includes accurate patient-information data entry, meeting department production goals, storing excess specimen samples, and resolving and documenting problem specimens.

The work schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Overtime is required as needed. The pay rate is $18.25 per hour, and external candidates are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Employees regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to pass a standardized colorblind test.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• One or more years of experience in a clinical, hospital, reference, or diagnostic laboratory setting.
• One or more years of experience in specimen processing, accessioning, or sample handling.
• One or more years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities
