About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Specimen Prep Tech I for the night shift in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves assisting professional staff with routine technical tasks, specimen processing, and maintaining laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have good computer skills, customer service skills, and knowledge of medical terminology, with a high school diploma or GED. Previous laboratory experience is preferred. The position requires the ability to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and to flex hours and work overtime as needed. A positive, professional, and supportive attitude, along with strong teamwork skills, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional staff in routine technical tasks such as: preparation of reagents, specimen processing, loading instruments and send outs.
• Other duties to include filing, temperature checks, stocking supplies, answering telephone calls, etc.
• Receives specimens into the laboratory using Cerner and QLS LIS systems.
• Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner.
