About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Specimen Prep Tech I for the night shift in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves reporting to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift, performing assigned duties and processes, maintaining a positive and professional attitude, and working collaboratively as a team member. The position requires assisting professional staff in routine technical tasks such as preparation of reagents, specimen processing, loading instruments, and handling send-outs. Additional duties include filing, temperature checks, stocking supplies, and answering telephone calls. The role also involves receiving specimens into the laboratory using Cerner and QLS LIS systems, and adhering to employer policies while working professionally with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Good computer skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • High School/GED required
  • Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
  • Teamwork with fellow employees is a must.
  • Keyboard skills are important.
  • Good customer service skills, professional appearance, and attitude.
  • Able to work any day including weekends and holidays; able to flex hours and work overtime for other shifts as needed.
