About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Englewood CO. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacking and routing specimens, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities, meeting department activity and production goals, properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, and performing data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. The position also requires resolving and documenting any problem specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color-blind test

Nice To Haves

• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

Responsibilities
