About The Position

Ensure that customer specifications and project scope are conveyed in an easy to understand format for operations which ensures product meets or exceeds customer’s technical and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Quality Assurance Technician or similar experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP required
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency with general computer file operations, scanning, email, etc.
  • Must be able to maintain good interpersonal communications with co-workers, employees from other departments, and superiors.
  • Must be able to use specifications and project scope to evaluate what information is relevant for each Blue Book application.
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
  • Ability to calculate figures.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.
  • Ability to work well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessary.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.
  • Must have a strong will to drive change and sustain.
  • Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, Excel, and PP

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, storing and organizing specifications for all SKUs packaged at Hearthside Food Solutions.
  • Verify new components as we receive them to ensure part numbers match the specifications from customers.
  • Take photographs of components, associated pallet tags and other Packaging aids for use in the Blue Book for visual reference.
  • Electronically construct a Blue Book for each SKU using specifications and photographs provided by the customer or internally gathered.
  • Perform revision updates to Blue Books when specifications or internal company protocols change.
  • Maintain and update an electronic Master List of Active, Work in Process and Archived Blue Books.
  • Filling out all CoC’s and CoA’s that are required on finished product.
  • Record and track CoC’s and CoA’s received for bulk products and materials and perform releases in SAP system based on CoA / CoC information.
  • Inspect and send out all customer samples.
  • Assisting with traceability exercises (mock recalls), and be able to perform a mock recall unassisted if necessary.
  • Participate in various internal audit programs.
  • Maintaining and updating programming for case coding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Sustain plants 5-S efforts.
  • Other tasks as required and assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • Keep, all information pertaining to our operations (products, customers, production details, etc.) confidential.
  • Function as backup to the Environmental Technician (may be required to work 3rd shift or extended hours periodically).
