Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management. The Job Purpose is to perform work involving the skills of multiple trades or craft occupations to keep machines, instrumentation, electrical equipment and components, control systems, or the infrastructure of an establishment in repair.

Requirements

  • Reading, writing, math, and computer and Microsoft Office Software knowledge.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Must meet at least one of the following: 4 Year Technical or Vocational Degree in an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance field of study; 2 Year Technical or Vocational Degree and a Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance related position; Minimum 4 years of experience in an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance related position; Successfully completed an approved training program or skilled trade apprenticeship program.
  • Technician must operate in a safe, compliant, efficient, and productive manner. Wear all safety equipment as required.
  • Mechanical and Electrical skills required.
  • Knowledge of computers necessary. Ability to enter required data on computers including EAM maintenance program.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals such as alcohol, caustic, acids, oils, and lubricants etc.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills. Has strong working knowledge of the English language. Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work in a team environment. Works well with others. Ability to perform job tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Stays informed and in compliance of all daily, weekly, or routine assignments delivered from management in the format of written or verbal communications.
  • Strong mathematical skills required, basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
  • Must be able to qualify on the operation of heavy equipment including: Fork Truck, Skid steer, Wheel Loader, Trackmobile, and JLG.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience (Stick, TIG, and MIG) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work duties involves various skillsets including those of a millwright, pipefitter, iron worker, plumber, boiler maker, insulator, welder, machinist, carpenter, and mechanic.
  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Install, monitor, maintain, repair, and replace equipment as required.
  • Housekeeping as required. Maintain high department and plant sanitation standards. Monitor and maintain all compliance requirements.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management as required.
  • Schedules, shifts, and days off subject to change.
