About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician for its CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team, which serves patients with multiple sclerosis, oncology, hepatitis, HIV, rheumatology, dermatology, transplant, and gastrointestinal conditions. The technician supports an initiative to transform health care and pharmacy through emerging information, technologies, and channels, while helping ensure medication orders are handled accurately and safely. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position requires lifting and shipping prescriptions weighing up to 50 pounds. The stated pay range is $17.00 to $28.46 per hour, with eligibility for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to base pay. Actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

Requirements

Be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of North Carolina.
Have at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be able to lift and ship prescriptions weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program and certification by a technician training program.
Experience working in a lead Pharmacy Technician role.
At least 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Ensure medications are filled correctly.
Accurately enter prescription information as needed.
Contact patients to arrange delivery or schedule a pickup date.
Make refill reminder calls.
Accurately fill medication orders.
Prepare orders for delivery.
Pack and ship medication orders using various carriers for delivery to patients.
Maintain adequate inventory and manage inventory functions.
Assist walk-in customers.
Perform cash register transactions.
