Specialty Pharmacy Technician - No night/ No weekends
About The Position
CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for its CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team, which serves patients with conditions including MS, oncology, hepatitis, HIV, rheumatology, dermatology, and transplant and gastrointestinal diseases. The technician supports prescription accuracy and fulfillment, patient communications, medication delivery, inventory, and customer service. The position is scheduled full time, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role requires lifting and shipping prescriptions weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of North Carolina.
- At least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift and ship prescriptions weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program and certification by a technician training program.
- Experience working in a lead role as a Pharmacy Technician.
- At least 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Ensure medications are filled correctly and accurately enter prescription information as needed.
- Contact patients to arrange delivery or schedule pickup dates.
- Make refill reminder calls.
- Accurately fill medication orders.
- Prepare orders for delivery and pack and ship medication orders through various carriers for delivery to patients.
- Maintain adequate inventory and manage inventory functions.
- Assist walk-in customers.
- Perform cash register transactions.
