About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specialty Operations Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations, ensure compliance, and maintain high standards of service and quality. The role is based onsite in Lakeland, Florida, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pharmacist supports accreditation efforts, patient service, fulfillment operations, analytics and reporting, and operational and compliance projects. The role also monitors operations queues and helps ensure quality, production, and service levels are consistently met while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
Active, clear license to practice pharmacy.
Ability to become licensed in multiple states as required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

PharmD preferred.
Experience in specialty pharmacy operations preferred.
Specialty pharmacist certification preferred.
One year of specialty pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work a flexible schedule when needed, particularly during periods of peak volume.
Collaborate with leadership to prepare for and help maintain pharmacy accreditations.
Perform assigned duties and provide backup support to other pharmacists as needed.
Assist with resolving patient escalations and complaints professionally and promptly.
Guide and assist with back-end pharmacy technician responsibilities, including inventory maintenance, purchasing, packing, shipping, and fulfillment.
Apply analytics and reporting to support operations and improve processes and outcomes.
Complete operations and compliance projects as assigned.
Communicate with departments outside the pharmacy to support smooth operations and collaboration.
Monitor and assign tasks within operations queues to ensure quality, production, and service levels are met.
Identify exceptions using critical thinking and assist with their resolution.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
