About The Position

The Sumner County YMCA is hiring a part-time Specialty Maintenance Tech to help keep its buildings, vehicles, pools, and grounds safe, clean, and functional. The pay range starts at $15 per hour, with higher pay possible depending on experience.

The position performs repairs and maintenance on facilities, equipment, and pools; uses power tools and heavy machinery; maintains safety and cleanliness across facilities, grounds, and parking lots; and assists with event setups, room changes, and vendor communications. Required certifications include New Hire Orientation before the first shift, CPR Pro, First Aid, and AED within 30 days, Certified Pool Operator’s Certification within six months, and Adult Mental Health First Aid USA within six months. The employer will help with obtaining these certifications.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance, cleaning, and equipment repair.
• A positive, solution-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Complete New Hire Orientation before the first shift.
• Obtain CPR Pro, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days.
• Obtain Certified Pool Operator’s Certification within six months.
• Obtain Adult Mental Health First Aid USA certification within six months.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with power tools and heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with pool mechanics and chemicals.
