The Opportunity: The Specialty Leasing Manager creates income and value through the temporary leasing of in-line stores, RMUs (carts), kiosks, vending, advertising, partnerships, and non-traditional uses. This role focuses on strategic placement of specialty retailers to enhance the property's value. This individual will be responsible for canvassing to identify and negotiate new opportunities to meet or exceed income goals, while overseeing day-to-day operations, merchandising, and accounts receivable. This role requires maintaining effective relationships with tenants, the mall team, and the community, working in conjunction with the General Manager and the VP of Ancillary Revenue. Job Type: Regular, exempt, full-time, in-person role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Specialty Leasing Program and Budget.
  • Obtain, screen, and select specialty retailers that align with the center's merchandising strategy.
  • Identify new opportunities and canvass regularly to communicate availabilities and find new prospects.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current retailers, service providers, business partners, and local/regional market players.
  • Favorably negotiate License Agreements to achieve the center's budget and goals.
  • Work with best-in-class brands in retail outlets, experiential programs, and Pop-Up locations.
  • Assist in creating collateral for sales and partnership initiatives.
