We are currently searching for a Specialty Folder Gluer Operator for our J&L Machine for our Caledonia, MI location. If you have experience or the desire to learn, we want to talk to you! Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Work safely.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment.
Basic math skills.
Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific jobs.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a J&L specialty folder gluer for a variety of corrugated box styles and specialty products.
Read and interpret production orders, specifications, and customer requirements.
Perform machine adjustments to ensure proper glue application, folding, alignment, and finished product quality.
Conduct first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
Monitor production speeds and minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and converting teams to maximize efficiency.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping expectations.
