About The Position

The Flexo Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for operating a Flexo Folder Gluer machine to produce corrugated packaging solutions. This role involves following safety rules, understanding customer specifications, coordinating with team members for efficient setup and operation, and maintaining quality and production standards. The operator will also perform setup functions, monitor production, prepare for runs, clean the equipment, perform minor cutting die repairs, conduct quality inspections, and learn press operator duties. Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.

Requirements

A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
One to two years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety rules and practices.
Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards and design specifications.
Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders.
Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company.
Perform set up functions as directed by the operator.
Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production.
Use available time to prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining protection sheets, obtaining and asiding tooling, in, and other supplies and tearing apart pallet cards.
Perform assigned clean up functions.
Perform minor cutting die repairs.
Perform quality inspections and tests and recording findings.
Learn press operator duties and responsibilities.
Follow prescribed practices in all circumstances.
