About The Position

Terracon is seeking students for Summer 2027 internships supporting one or more specialty service lines: geotechnical, materials, environmental, and facilities. Internships generally run from May through August; co-op opportunities may run from May through December. Interns work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, consultants, and technicians on active projects, with experience that may include field investigations, testing and inspection services, data collection and analysis, technical problem-solving, project delivery, and client-focused consulting. Each intern is paired with a leader or mentor to support technical skill development, career exploration, and professional growth. Interns can also participate in a company-wide cohort, connect with other interns, and attend a summer-ending summit to meet leaders, learn about career development at Terracon, and strengthen peer relationships. Opportunities are available across Terracon’s 200+ offices nationwide; applicants may identify preferred locations and indicate interest in other offices, including relocation. Service-line learning opportunities include geotechnical laboratory testing, soil procedures, field exploration, data review, and reporting; materials sampling and testing, laboratory organization, project execution, client interaction, and test-result communication; environmental field sampling, data acquisition, environmental activities, and reporting; and facilities consulting in building enclosures, structural diagnostics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, property assessments, testing support, drawing reviews, and construction site visits.
