About The Position

This role involves the assembly and repair of specialty cabinets. The technician will work independently, managing assigned tasks and prioritizing workflow, including rework items. Responsibilities include reading and understanding work orders, drawings, and production paperwork to repair, assemble, and install specialty cabinet components according to quality standards. Specific tasks include putting frames on, installing wine glass holders, and completing decorative toe kick work. The technician will utilize hand tools, routing, biscuiting, and other woodworking methods, and will be responsible for moving parts through various production processes such as repair, assembly, drying, and oven-related steps. A key part of the role is inspecting materials and finished products for defects, alignment, and quality, and accurately completing all required documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to working safely and using required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and CSA-approved safety shoes
  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail and quality
  • Strong writing, reading, and communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn how to operate production equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Experience with woodworking and hand tools is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Repair, assemble, and install specialty cabinet components according to quality standards
  • Put frames on, install wine glass holders, and complete decorative toe kick work

  • Move parts back and forth through repair, assembly, drying, and oven-related processes
  • Inspect materials and finished products for defects, alignment, and quality
  • Complete required reading, writing, and production documentation accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
