About The Position

The Specialties Clinic Supervisor will work under the director of the Clinic Director, providing day-to-day support and supervision of clinical and clerical staff within the Specialties Clinics.

Requirements

  • 2+ years medical office experience (clinical or clerical), required.
  • Must have strong communication/writing skills.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
  • Ability to handle difficult situation involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Able to deal effectively with patients and family members.
  • Able to work in a team environment while maintaining a highly professional and productive work ethic.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree of greater in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field, preferred.
  • Or, minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing, preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisor experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Collaborates and works closely with the Director of Clinic Services.
  • Collaborates with the RN Clinic Coordinator for guidance and support of clinical operations.
  • Collaborates and establishes a strong working relationship with clinical and clerical staff and provides clear communication; must be approachable and maintain open communication with the team.
  • Oversees the daily workflow, clinical and clerical staffing, orientation, training, and developing of employees in collaboration with the RN Clinical Coordinator and Director of Clinic Services.
  • Direct difficult conversations when needed.
  • Contributes to annual evaluations.
  • Promotes and supports a collaborative team approach with provider care; communicates effectively with the clinical and clerical team.
  • Supports and reviews policies & procedures, incorporating the philosophies and objectives of the hospital.
  • Oversees monthly staff meetings or morning huddles. Organizes and evaluates educational opportunities.
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments and disciplines as appropriate.
  • Participates in projects. i.e. adverse events, policy changes based upon new guidelines; Participates in Annual Surveys i.e. DNV
  • Assists Director in all aspects of running the clinics.
  • Assures staffing is adequate; assists in approving vacation requests.
  • Assures timecards are accurate and approves at the end of each pay period as needed.
  • Assists with collecting and entering scorecard data monthly.
  • Required to be a working supervisor within all clinics as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
