About The Position

Altisource is seeking an energetic, highly skilled self-starter to join their team as a Foreclosure Trustee Services Specialist. This role requires a passion for customer service, quality assurance, and leadership. The position is ideal for someone who is a natural leader, enjoys problem-solving, is a quick learner, self-motivated, and can work both independently and as part of a team. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact on a new product within a growing and stable organization. This position is an onsite role in the Charlotte, NC office.

Requirements

  • Accounting education and/or 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Up to 5 years of work experience
  • Prior experience with Bankruptcy or Foreclosure processes
  • A good team player with proven abilities to also work as an individual contributor
  • Strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills; ability to break down problems and formulate plans
  • Proven ability to collaborate
  • Positive demeanor
  • Good oral and written communication skill
  • Must be a Notary
  • Must be located in the Charlotte, NC
  • Ideal Candidate must be commutable to Charlotte.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree welcomed but not required
  • Experience with Mortgage Trustee Servicing, title servicing or foreclosure.
  • Experience with reverse mortgage services.
  • Must have an understanding of trustee services, processes and procedures.
  • Recording experience in a title or trustee capacity.
  • Prior knowledge of CaseAware or similar Case Management Systems is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Order appraisals/update system with documents and information; work with client and appraisers on issues.
  • Review/execute DNMS documents and review foreclosure files for litigation team, appear in court, if necessary.
  • Document executions review and update spreadsheets.
  • Take & return calls from borrowers/lienholders/realtors/attorneys.
  • Respond to borrower/realtor/lienholder email/fax inquiries.
  • Work with co-counsel on issues with foreclosures.
  • Handle third-party surplus files: spreadsheets for AZ, CA, NV, TX, WA.
  • Work with attorneys on surplus updates.
  • Process mail, monitor phones, and assist incoming visitors in the Charlotte NC physical office.
  • Review/execute/upload documents for remote trustee team.
  • Maintain/update team manuals, provide assistance to team members regarding issues/questions.
  • Document recording.
  • Perform quality control as a team.
  • Additional duties as required.
