The Technical Writer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interpreting and utilizing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to develop accurate technical content for oil, gas, and liquid transportation and processing operations. Developing and revising maintenance procedures that translate engineering drawings, equipment documentation, operating requirements, and subject-matter expert input into clear, safe, and executable work instructions. Developing written content, technical illustrations, and photos as required for projects. Obtaining technical reviews from content owners and ensuring the accuracy of revisions to provide customers with the highest quality technical materials. Collaborating with business partners to develop and manage a technical/procedures documentation plan for each project outlining deliverables, due dates and launch requirements. Arranging and managing all relationships including quality reviews as required; meeting project deliverables within established timelines to ensure an accurate delivery of technical publications to the customer. Adhering to and applying styles and formats as outlined in the technical writing style guide. Participating in continuous improvement of technical writing processes and systems (e.g. content management) to ensure quality, compliance, and reliability of technical publications.
