About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Systems Test Engineer to support sustaining efforts for some of our Tactical Data Link (TDL) product lines and variants within the Spectrum Superiority (S2) sector. As a Systems Engineering Specialist you’ll be asked to contribute to program responsibilities including requirements definition, test process and procedure development, prototype build and troubleshooting, integration and test, verification and validation, part obsolescence analysis and regression verification, and documentation creation and clean up. The selected candidate will work hand-on with our products ensuring the designs and product performance meet customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of test equipment including but not limited to O-scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Logic analyzers, and Signal Generators
  • Ability to derive and decompose requirements to multiple sub-systems
  • Ability to conceptualize, design, implement, and test complex RF, electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience in system test and production test
  • Experience with RF Chain Analysis
  • Experience designing Test Fixture and Interface Test Adapter (ITA) designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals
  • Knowledge of Automation SW – LabView, Python, VeePro, etc
  • Experience with EMC/EMI testing
  • Experience with TeamCenter (Configuration Management Database), SharePoint, NX 3D, DxDesigner, JIRA, JAMA Software or DOORS Software

Responsibilities

  • Translate end-user/customer needs into end-to-end systems requirements
  • Understand details of underlying technology and product capabilities
  • Develop system use cases and drive system architecture
  • Generate verifiable product level requirements from high level system requirements
  • Establish relationships and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to align end-to-end system requirements with product roadmaps
  • Support and drive development and service delivery
  • Own the creation and management of systems engineering activities
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot prototype and production hardware
  • Ability to travel up to 5-10% of time.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
